Terms & Conditions

1. The juror will select art for the exhibition from the digital images. She will select award-winners after viewing the artwork at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts.
2. Paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, photographs, computer graphics, and mixed-media are eligible.
3. Artists may enter no more than five works.
4. Size (height plus width plus depth) may not exceed 15 feet including frame and any base that is attached to a sculpture. Maximum weight is 150 pounds.
5. Art must be original and be completed in 2019, 2020, or 2021. Art shown in prior MAG or MMFA exhibitions is not eligible. Artists may not substitute for accepted artworks.
6. Art must be finished, dry, framed or gallery wrapped, and suitable for display. Any entry the MMFA considers offensive, shows sign of insect infestation or activity, or that does not meet exhibition criteria will be rejected. NOTE:  If the Museum sees ANY sign of insect activity (current or past) when it is physically in the building (i.e., has already been juried in), the artist will be required to immediately retrieve it and the work will be disqualified from the exhibition.
7. Art must be labeled to match information on the registration form, which will be used for the catalogue.
8. Images of art selected for the show may be used for promotional purposes by MAG and/or MMFA.
9. Images should represent the art as accurately as possible.
10. Submit 1 image per two-dimensional entry; 2 images per sculpture entry.
11. The photo of your entry must be taken from the front, 300 ppi, and in JPG format, with the longest dimension at least 7 inches with a solid background color. The submission must be between 2500 pixels and 4600 pixels on its longest side (that is, it can be no smaller than 2500 pixels on its longest side, and no larger than 4600 pixels on the longest side). The maximum file size for an image is 4 mb.
12. Any entry that does not meet exhibition criteria or that the MMFA finds offensive will be rejected.
13. Any work that shows ANY signs of insect activity or infestation will not be permitted in the Museum or in the exhibition, even if the work was accepted by the juror.
14. All entries must be submitted at www.magatmmfa44.artcall.org. No other emailed work will be accepted
15. All art will be for sale unless otherwise designated. Artists are responsible for submitted sales tax to the State of Alabama.
16. Every precaution will be exercised in the handling of the artwork. However, the Montgomery Art Guild and the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts will not be held responsible for any damage or loss.
17. Works must be claimed during pick up time on Monday, August 16, 2021, from 10 AM to 4 PM. If unable to pick up work at the designated time, contact MAG by email at artguildmontgomery@gmail.com by August 9, 2021. Due to the number of artists participating, the Guild will be unable to deliver artwork back to artists or hold artwork. DO NOT CONTACT THE MMFA REGARDING PICK UP OF ARTWORK. Proper I.D. is required of anyone picking up artwork.
18. Any unclaimed art after 5 PM on August 16, 2021 becomes the property of the Montgomery Art Guild and will be donated to Jackson Hospital Healing Arts Program.
19. Works claimed by someone other than the artist requires a note with the following:

• Title of the work
• Name of the person picking up
• Signature of the artist
